OUR TEAM

Bo Bearden

Director Wholesale Sales / Marketing / Operations

After completing his undergraduate studies at The University of Alabama and receiving a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Marketing, Bo began his business career in 1979 with a wholesale grocery company. In 1985, as the convenience/petroleum store industry took on a new and different direction, Bo was involved in restructuring the grocery wholesaler’s product lines and operational processes to meet the demands of this new channel of trade.

From the retail convenience grocery wholesale business, Bo went to work in 1994 with a petroleum wholesale jobber in south Alabama. As a marketing sales representative responsible for petroleum wholesale growth through the dealer network, the company experienced double digit growth during his first five years. Developing knowledge of the supplier branded programs was an important part of the growth strategy and results. Flying the BP, Shell, Texaco, Citgo, Conoco and ExxonMobil flags created a great opportunity to learn and understand both the petroleum wholesale distributor business and retail dealer business. Bo continued to develop both operational and management skills in the petroleum business until taking a position with Mansfield Oil in February 2006.

Bo also purchased and operated 3 convenience retail locations from 1995 – 2006. The knowledge he obtained from ownership through operational and management functions has been valuable as he learned from experience the daily challenges facing his customers. Through Bo’s 35 years in the c-store petroleum business, he appreciates firsthand the business and personal relationships he has established that are and remain critical to success in a highly competitive industry. Bo feels the keys to success lie within these supplier, vendor and customer relationships. And now, after completing his 2nd year with Clipper, Bo understands why Clipper customers are so loyal. Everyone is treated like family and your work is appreciated and valued within the organization, top to bottom.

Bo currently lives in Cumming, GA. He enjoys playing golf (especially with his youngest daughter Samantha) and spending time at the beach or lake with his family. He and his wife, Susan, have three daughters and they all enjoy spending time together with family and friends.

Andy Williams

Business Development Facilitator

Andy Williams began working at Clipper Petroleum in 1978. Throughout his 39 years at Clipper, Andy has worked in retail, the warehouse, driving fuel trucks, and making sales calls. As Business Development Facilitator, Andy is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Clipper Petroleum's dealer network. 

Andy received his degree in Business Administration from Brenau College. In the past, Andy has served as a Member of the Cumming Park & Recreation Board, Member/President of the South Hall Rotary Club, and Little League baseball coach. 

Andy and his wife Marie have two children, Lindsey and Drew. In his free time, Andy enjoys fishing, reading, golfing, and gardening.

Rhonda Palmer

Director Wholesale Sales / Marketing / Operations

Rhonda Palmer has worked for Clipper Petroleum since 1988. Throughout her 29 years at Clipper, Rhonda  worked in accounting for 5 years handling fuel billing and account receivables. She then joined the wholesale team where she made commercial fleet sales calls. As Wholesale Operations Manager for Clipper, Rhonda is responsible for maintaining relationships and managing the day to day operations within our  Clipper's dealer network. She is responsible for communicating brand standards to Clipper's dealer stores and Clipper Food Shop stores. Rhonda’s goal as part of her responsibilities to Clipper and her customers is to create a line of communication between our businesses to achieve ultimate success.     

Rhonda attended Gainesville College and Lanier Technical College. She is a Member of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) and a past Member of the Gainesville Traffic Association. Rhonda served as the Youth Director at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gainesville for 9 years.

Rhonda has one daughter, Shelby. In her free time, Rhonda enjoys painting and making crafts.

Paul Sherman

Business Development Manager

Paul Sherman joined Clipper Petroleum in 2014. Prior to joining the Clipper team, Paul worked as a Wholesale Account Manager for Mansfield Oil and also spent some time as a Broker for XPO Logistics.  Paul’s position is Wholesale Business Development Manager, where he is responsible for cultivating new business as well as maintaining the current relationships within Clipper’s Dealer network.
Paul currently serves on the Board for the National Association of Shell Marketers (NASM); Member of the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores (GACS); and Member of the Georgia Oilmen's Association (GOA).
Paul earned his degree in Marketing from the University of North Georgia. In his free time Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, hunting, fishing, playing golf, and watching all his favorite sports’ teams.

Paul Kohler

Bruce Hawkins

Territory Sales Manager

Bruce recently joined Clipper Petroleum this past summer.  Bruce has 29 years of experience in the petroleum industry working in areas such as: retail operations, wholesale development, marketing and real estate.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University with an emphasis in Advertising/Marketing.  Bruce’s responsibilities include the acquisition of new business along with coaching/supporting existing customers.
Bruce enjoys trout fishing, working in the yard, and college football.  Bruce has three children: Kate, Anne, and Jacob. 

 

Haley Bower

Director Wholesale Sales / Marketing / Operations

Haley Bower joined the Clipper Petroleum team on a full-time basis in 2010.  She currently serves as the Wholesale Support Manager, working with Clipper’s 200+ wholesale accounts, and as a Special Project Manager, building the strategic plan behind Clipper's Bojangles’ restaurant operations.  She originally started with Clipper when she was a teenager working summers filing, answering the phones, working on spreadsheets, selling fleet cards and any other miscellaneous work that was needed to support the management team. 

Haley was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia and graduated from North Hall High School in 2005.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2009 and earned her Masters in Business Administration from Brenau University in 2012. 

Haley currently serves as a Member of the Business Advisory Committee for North Hall High School; Director on the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores (GACS) Educational Foundation; Board Member of Challenged Child and Friends; Board Member of the the Arts Council of Gainesville and Co-Chair for the Youth Development Committee; Member of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) and Georgia Association of Convenience Stores (GACS); and as a Director on the Clipper Petroleum Foundation.

Haley resides between Gainesville, GA and Greenville, SC with her dog and sidekick, Big Al.  She is a member of Grace Episcopal Church.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, taking Big Al to the park, working on her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate, volunteering with multiple non-profits, and spending time with her sisters, family, and friends.

Barbra Hall

Wholesale Branded Account Specialist

Barbra began working for Clipper Petroleum in 2008 in the Accounting Department. She worked in accounting for eight years handling drafts, fuel billing, and accounts receivable. In 2016, Barbra transitioned to the Wholesale Team and took on the role as the Wholesale Branded Account Specialist. She took accounting classes at Lanier Tech prior to joining the Clipper team.
Barbra enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg and three kids and her two grandchildren, Annalysa and Carsen. She is looking forward being a grandma again in April 2018. Aside from being a grandma, she enjoys Saturdays spent cheering on the LSU tigers!
